Breadmother began during the pandemic as a personal response to food sensitivities in our own home.

As I learned more about gut health, I attended health conferences, one in particular led by Barbara O’Neil was especially inspiring, it motivated me to take control of the food we were eating at home.

When our kids started reacting to foods made with preservatives and heavily processed ingredients, it became clear that digestion mattered just as much as taste. That experience sparked a deep focus on fresh, organic ingredients and long, natural fermentation — a process that supports easier digestion and gentler bread for growing bodies. What started as a necessity quickly became a lifelong commitment to creating sourdough that families can enjoy and trust.
